BOW Singleton Reviews Presents: Ready or Not 2: Here I Come
(Currently Streaming on Hulu as of 20JUL2026 — view on IMDb)

As a guy who spends most of his days filing VA appeals for bad knees, worse back, and a complete lack of patience for pretty much everything, I didn’t think I’d relate to a movie about rich satanic cultists hunting a blonde woman in a blood-soaked wedding dress again, but here we are. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come hits right home—mostly because it depicts the absolute worst tactical discipline, security protocols, and operational leadership I’ve ever witnessed.
The movie picks up literally seconds after the first one. Grace (Samara Weaving) gets hauled off to a hospital, only to be dragged into another ritual because the Le Domas family failing triggered a High Council battle. This time, she’s forced to protect her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) against five global elite families all competing for the “High Seat of the Council”.
From a tactical standpoint, these ultra-wealthy hit squads are an absolute disgrace:
- Zero Perimeter Control: Five entire billionaire dynasties, led by patriarchs like David Cronenberg, couldn’t clear a basic room if their lives depended on it.
- Psychopathic Infighting: Sarah Michelle Gellar and Shawn Hatosy play Danforth family siblings who spend more time squabbling like angry E3s praying for their paycheck to drop on Friday.
- Elijah Wood as the Devil’s JAG (easily one of the best parts of the film too): Wood plays the calm, creepy lawyer running the rules for Satan. He’s basically every legal officer who ever gave you a briefing right before a jump—terrifying, useless in a gunfight, but legally airtight.
The Big Ending Spoilers
The climax in the ballroom is sheer chaos. Grace survives the gauntlet, keeping her sister alive and officially claiming ownership of the High Seat, but instead of running the global satanic illuminati, she strips off the ring and hurls it straight into a pit, announcing her immediate resignation.
The rules state whoever wears the ring at dawn gets the throne, every surviving billionaire immediately loses their damn minds, abandons all discipline, and dives headfirst into the pit, butchering each other over a piece of jewelry. It is the most beautiful display of enemy self-destruction since INSERT TERRIBLE MILITARY STORY THAT I CANNOT THINK OF DUE TO MY TBI.
If you like absurd gore, dark humor, and watching rich elitists suffer from catastrophic command failures, this one is worth the extra joint pain, plus it’s this or you’re just going to start Family Guy over again for like the 100th time because Hulu lacks a bit.
